5 Easy Ways To Wear A Scarf

Hello!

It’s already December and the breeze just keeps getting colder! Brrr…for a tropical country like mine, this cold season is one, if not, tops the list of my most–awaited, every year.

And what goes with the cold weather and the long waiting? F A S H I O N! This is just the perfect time to rummage in your chests and pull out those winter clothing ensembles waiting to be worn for the season!

In this article, I will share with you some of the easy but fashionable ways of wearing them. These tips are soooo easy breezy! And oh, don’t forget to bring with you your scarves, while reading this! (:

First, let’s start with:

1. FAKE KNOT (suitable for longer scarves)

Hang the scarf on your shoulder, check if both ends are of the same length. Grab one end (A) of your scarf and make a knot. Put the other end (B) of the scarf through the knot. Pull to tighten.

This type can be worn by either men or women. Longer and tinier scarves work well with a fake knot.

Cosmetics and Makeup 411

Like any other first-timers, especially in the vast and colourful world of makeup and cosmetics, I’ve always encountered some terms that I find confusing and am not fully aware of, thus, I always end up consulting the dictionary, both cyber and printed, for their meanings.

I’ve listed, defined, compared, and contrasted some words and products in the makeup and cosmetics industries that even I just only encountered recently. I heard these words but didn’t know the distinctions between each, so, I always ended up misusing them. So, let’s start with the basics.

Tous Les Jours’ Cake Review

TOUS LES JOURS

I had to move my reservation in Barbara’s a week after my birthday, because a day before my special day, my nephew was sickly and got to spent an overnight in the hospital. The entire family was then so worried for our little baby, thus, we called the celebration off and waited until he’s A okay. Luckily, Barbara’s was so gracious and kind to canceled our reservation and moved it a week after.

Since I turned 30, I made it a point that I make my every succeeding birthdays different from the last one.  Last year we spent it in a hotel, and this year I chose a somewhat formal celebration. Too much excitement maybe, I found myself organizing my own celebration, (from the restaurant, my cake, my outfit, etc.) early October. Upon flipping webpages, I came across the Tous Les Jours website, and cybertically speaking, I found their products appealing, said my eyes, tummy, and pocket. Right there and then, I knew what cake I want.

And here it is! TADAAAAAAAA!

Hiatus button – OFF

It’s been ages since I posted my last entry here on the website. I guess, I haven’t told you guys that I am a WAHM for 4-5 months already – got 2 regular writing jobs and one on call. After 6 years of being a homemaker, finally I was able to find myself a good-paying, and stay-at-home job. Though, it almost eats up my entire day everyday, I still see to it that I have time for my family, myself and socialization (Lol).

I will try to catch up and post a lot of reviews in the succeeding days, so please, please, support my blog still. I owe you guys plenty of product reviews! So watch out for it.

Garnier Light Gentle Clarifying Foam Review

GARNIER LIGHT GENTLE CLARIFYING FOAM  Review

Garnier Light Gentle Clarifying Foam Review   Hello there! I used up my gluta-kojic soap before July ends; I haven’t placed my order yet for another two so, three weeks ago, I went to a drugstore nearest my home to look for a facial cleanser. This time, I aimed for a gentle one. The two-toned gluta-kojic soap, which I know some of you are fully aware of, stings the skin; probably because of the “kojic acid” content of the product. I don’t know if it’s still healthy on my skin but I’m bearing the pain; because, aside from it, there’s nothing hateable about that soap. I’m a regular user for more than 3 years and it’s always been effective in maintaining my fair skin tone.

Going back, I needed a breather for my skin, so I keenly looked for potential candidates. I was torn between Garnier and Clean and Clear. I tried C&C before so I settled with Garnier, for a change. Continue reading

Dermablend Cover Cream Foundation Review

DERMABLEND COVER CREAM FOUNDATION Review

Out of the many foundations that I have tried, there is just one product that I keep on purchasing over and over again. This makeup base is known for its thick coverage that it can conceal even the most detailed tattoo.  Apart from the coverage, this product is also popular for being water-resistant and oil-proof.

The Dermablend Makeup which costs around $30 and so far one of the most expensive foundations that I have tried, but does the price live up to its quality? Let’s see.

Youngblood Crushed Mineral Eyeshadow Moonstone Review

YOUNGBLOOD CRUSHED MINERAL EYESHADOW MOONSTONE Review

The best things in life are free…especially a free makeup product! Haha.

My younger sister recently gave me a white eyeshadow as a birthday gift. After telling her that I have been making reviews about beauty products, she told me that I should make a review about her gift. Being the good Ate (older sister) that I am, ehem, I followed her advice.

When I received this eyeshadow, I quickly looked for its brand. Well, that was the first time that I had encountered this brand – YOUNGBLOOD. I googled Youngblood and found its website. According to their website, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics are specially formulated for “patients who had severely traumatized skin from harsh laser treatments, acne, rosacea and cosmetic surgeries.” Their company is said to have “a passion for providing the healthiest, highest quality products, while empowering women to look and feel their best.” Mineral products are well-known to be hypoallergenic, so I would say that Youngblood products would suit any skin type.

My sister told me that she bought this online, however, I found out that Youngblood products are also available in Beauty Bar stores. They are kind of pricey but worth every penny.

Revlon Just Enough Buff Lipstick Review

So I have this aunt who is really into makeup and other beauty products. Whenever she visits us, I would always, ALWAYS, rummage her bag in search for her kikay kit. I would take out all her eyeshadow palettes, blushes, lipsticks, and whatnots, test them on me, and whatever looks good on me, she gives me. Who would not want a Tita (aunt) who is like that, right? Haha. I got a few good lippies from her (Yay me!) so in honor of my Tita’s generosity, I will do a review of these lippies

Scarves 101

What is common in Jessica Alba’s pictures above? If your guess was scarf, then I just owe you a treat! Yeay!

Jessica Alba is one of my fashion icons in Hollywood. She is a quintessence of elegance and style. Aside from her minimalist style in fashion that really appeals to me, we also share the same passion for scarves.

Scarves have always been a part of her outfits. She can pull off even the chunkiest and tiniest scarves. Summer or winter, scarves are her closest companions. I can’t imagine how big her collection is! It’s probably like owing a universe of scarves!

Though, mine is not as huge as hers, I admit that this piece of clothing is driving me crazy! When I do window shopping, there was never a chance that I missed checking the scarves’ section for new arrivals.

I think everybody has seen or tried wearing one at least, but do we know where these pieces of cloths originated?
